Introduction
Scorena ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a multi-sport application providing live scores, statistics, match predictions, favorites management, and public match chat. The App is developed and operated by CIVITECH.
This policy applies to Scorena on iOS, iPadOS and Android, including versions distributed through the App Store and Google Play.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding your personal data.
By using Scorena, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

Our backend server is physically located in France, operated by LWS (Ligne Web Services), and is therefore subject to French and European Union data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What Data We Collect
3.1 — Account data Optional
Creating an account is not required to use Scorena. You can browse live scores, standings, statistics, and tips as a guest. An account is required only for voting and chat.
When you sign in via Firebase Authentication, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Profile photo URL (optional, if provided via social sign-in)
- Account creation date and last sign-in date
3.2 — Data stored locally on your device On-device only
The following data never leaves your device and is stored only in local app storage:
- Favorite matches, teams, leagues, and players
- App preferences (language, theme, display settings)
- Interface preferences (e.g. button positions)
- A local cache of sports data for offline access
3.3 — Analytics & diagnostics Planned
We plan to integrate Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics in a future update. This policy will be updated and users will be notified before activation.
When enabled, these services may collect:
- App usage events (screens viewed, features used)
- Crash reports and technical diagnostics
- Device model, OS version, and language
- Approximate country (not precise location)
3.4 — Advertising identifiers Planned
We plan to display third-party advertisements in a future update. This policy will be updated and users will be notified before activation.
When enabled, our advertising partner(s) may collect:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- General usage context for ad relevance
You will be able to opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings at any time.
3.5 — Sports data
Sports data (scores, fixtures, standings, odds) is fetched from our backend server. This process involves no collection of personal data — your identity is not associated with the sports content you view.

- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not build advertising profiles beyond standard ad-network practices
- We do not collect precise location data
Third-Party Services
Used for user authentication. Planned for analytics and crash reporting. Data may be processed on Google servers, including outside the EU, under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
- Firebase / Google — for authentication, and planned analytics (described above)
- Legal obligations — if required by a court order, law enforcement request, or applicable regulation
- Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under equivalent privacy protections and prior notice to users

Children's Privacy
Scorena is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@scorenat.net and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data:
- Account data is managed by Firebase, which applies industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest
- Our backend server operates exclusively over HTTPS
- Local device data is protected by your device's native storage security
- Our server is hosted in a secure French data center (LWS)
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you within the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
